Mai Ram’s artistic work is born from the depth of yoga practice, and the main idea of her work is to remind us that creativity lies hidden in each of us. Creativity is not an exceptional gift of a chosen few; it is the natural state of a human being. Creative power pulses in every living being, and yoga practice helps to open this power. Mai Ram shows that the spiritual path and artistic creation merge into one living, inspiring experience.

Every creative expression of Mai Ram – whether it is sound, the movement or form of the body, the rendering of Sanskrit scriptures in Lithuanian text, or a drawing – bears witness to her devotion to the aim of life: realising the unity of the human being and the universe. The inner impulse to paint, born in her youth, has matured today, and creative ideas carried for a long time have taken on authentic forms. For many years Guru Mai Ram gave all her creative energy to fulfilling her life’s purpose. Mai Ram’s work takes material shape in many forms; all her ideas and works are united by one aim – the joining of consciousness and matter. Through her creative activity Mai Ram reveals the power of the Creator hidden within the human being.
